APULIA - A BEAUTIFUL PART OF ITALY

The Puglia region is located on the Salintina peninsula and is considered its "heel".
APULIA beautiful "heel"

APULIA is a beautiful part of Italy, making up its "heel" on the map of the country.

This is a land of unique architectural monuments, nature from magnificent landscapes with wide green plains, shady forests, mysterious grottoes and caves, rocky islands and luxurious sandy beaches washed by two seas - the Adriatic and the Ionian. Their waters are stunningly beautiful: the color of the water changes from translucent emerald green to twilight blue. Excellent beaches - the entrance to the water is smooth, and the sand is perfectly clean. The extensive coastline bears the imprint of many conquerors and invaders: Normans, Spaniards, Turks, Swabians and Greeks.
IN APULIA
one of the main shrines of the Christian world is located - the myrrh-streaming relics of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in the basilica in the city of Bari.
APULIA is the charm of small towns, these are olive groves and vineyards, these are medieval castles, these are the grottoes of Castellana, this is Alberobello with trulli houses, this is the "Zoo Safari", these are churches in grottoes with magnificent frescoes.

The pearl of APULIA is Lecce. South Florence or Golden City.

Apulian cuisine is famous for its fish dishes, delicious mussels, extraordinary cheeses, special breads and handmade pastas.

Salento is the birthplace of the most famous and titled Apulian wine, Primitivo di Manduria, whose production center is located in Manduria.

There are more sunny than cloudy and overcast days, snow is a rare occurrence.

Such weather and a long line of the beach attracts tourists from all over the world.

The easiest way to get to  Puglia is by plane, but you can also take a train, car, bus or ferry.

“There is no land in the world that would be so dotted with fortresses as Italy. And there is also no land that has been conquered so often».
